Diane Bennett – Board Member
Diane has had a remarkable career in the health care industry and has held a variety of
responsible positions. After graduating from college, Diane worked for seven years for
the Boston University Medical Center in Boston MA. She then spent five years working with
the Departments of Surgery and Critical Care at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT, followed
by five years at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. as an Administrator of Surgery,
Critical Care and Trauma. She then worked for Baystate Health System in Springfield MA
and program Manager for Trauma and Wound Care for two years and then for three years as
the Program Coordinator for Women’s Health.
Along the way Diane has served on numerous committees such as the CT Valley Girls Scout
Council and the Northeastern CT Advisory Board for the American Heart Association. Diane
joined the board of One Full House, Inc. early in 2007.
For the past 5 years Diane has been the University of Connecticut’s Director of
the Celebrate Health Programs, a consumer health education and awareness program focusing
on women’s health across the life span.
Diane also knows first hand the anguish a family faces when it’s necessary to move
parents to a facility where they can get the care they need. She appreciates the work involved
in dissolving a household filled with memories.
